Following on from the August announcement that AOT would acquire ATS Pacific from Jetset Travelworld Group Limited, today it can be confirmed that AOT has taken ownership of ATS Pacific’s operations in Australia and New Zealand. Purchase of ATS Pacific Fiji and the 60% stake in Tourism & Transport Fiji (TTF) is awaiting regulatory approval and once finalised the AOT Group will also take ownership of the Fiji operations.

“We are pleased to announce the completion of this acquisition and welcome ATS Pacific to the AOT Group.” said AOT CEO Andrew Burnes.

Earlier this month it was announced that ATS Pacific New Zealand General Manager, Stuart Neels will become ATS Pacific’s new Group General Manager from 1 November 2013 and will be based in Sydney.

As stated by Mr Burnes at the announcement of the purchase, AOT will continue to run the ATS Pacific business ‘as usual’.

“ATS has an outstanding and long held global reputation for professional and competitive service to the FIT, Group and Incentive travel markets which we will ensure is maintained and developed.”

The ATS Pacific business will complement AOT’s existing destination management divisions including AOT Inbound, AOT NZ, Experience Tours Australia (ETA) and Pacific Spirit Travel.  AOT’s other major divisions include wholesale leisure with Sunlover Holidays and Air New Zealand Holidays, last-minute B2C online sites such as and AOT’s Government Services Division, AOTHotels, which supplies accommodation to the Federal Government.

“We have come a long way since starting in Cairns in 1987 and we remain proudly Australian owned and operated.” said Mr Burnes.

With the purchase of ATS Pacific, AOT now has 550 staff and 14 offices worldwide.
