New Group GM at ATS Pacific

10th of September, 2013

Following on from AOT's announcement last week that it will acquire the business of ATS Pacific and Tourism & Transport Fiji at the end of September, AOT Group CEO Andrew Burnes has announced that, subject to completion of the transaction on 30 September, ATS Pacific New Zealand General Manager, Stuart Neels will become ATS Pacific's new Group General Manager and will move from Auckland to Sydney to take up the role commencing 1 November 2013.

"Stuart Neels joined ATS over 14 years ago and brings with him a tremendous knowledge of ATS's operations, customers and suppliers in New Zealand, Fiji and Australia. He is very highly respected with industry around the world and I congratulate Stuart on this appointment" said Mr Burnes.

Prior to working at ATS, Mr Neels worked at both Newmans Tours and Great Sights in New Zealand and also spent 3 years looking after THL's business in Fiji, managing their inbound and transport companies.

Sue Notley, who has been running ATS Pacific for the past year, has made a decision to resign and will finish on 30 November 2013. Mr Burnes acknowledged the work of Ms. Notley, who took over from Col Hughes after the departure of Denis Pierce in 2011.

"Sue's done a great job looking after ATS Pacific and has played a pivotal role in assisting AOT with the acquisition and all the transition planning that we have undertaken and I thank her for the tremendous effort she has made" said Mr Burnes.

ATS has offices in Sydney, Auckland and Nadi and over 300 staff in their inbound and transport businesses.
