AOT AGREES TO BUY PACIFIC SPIRIT TRAVEL
2nd of October, 2009Andrew Burnes, CEO of the AOT Group, today announced that AOT has entered into an Agreement to purchase Pacific Spirit Travel from Eric Ridet's Australie Tours business in France.
At the same time Pacific Spirit is entering into a long term Agreement with Australie Tours in France to continue to provide inbound services to Australie Tours in Australia and New Zealand.
Formed in 1996, Pacific Spirit Travel provides inbound services to Groups and FIT's throughout Australia and New Zealand to wholesalers from across the world and in particular from France, England, Spain, Italy, Colombo, Peru, Canada, French Polynesia and the Reunion Islands.
Andrew Burnes, CEO of the AOT Group said he was delighted to acquire the business, which specalises in niche FIT and Group inbound business from South America and Europe and that it would be "business as usual" at Pacific Spirit.
Margaret Wiggins, General Manager of Pacific Spirit said that the new ownership would allow Pacific Spirit to take advantage of AOT's technologies and buying volumes while Pacific Spirit continued to focus on providing great service to their customers worldwide.
Pacific Spirit's FIT and Group personnel in Australia and New Zealand will remain with the business. They have all accepted offers to stay on and will move to AOT's Sydney and Auckland offices over the next few weeks.
